Dolphin Software in partnership with ApplianX

Dolphin Software selects Aculab’s ApplianX IP Gateway for the Dolphin Contact Distribution System and HotVoice products.

Aculab, a leading provider of enabling technology for the communications market, today announced that Dolphin Software has selected the ApplianX IP Gateway for deployment with its Contact Distribution System and HotVoice software.

Dolphin Software is one of the leading companies in the Scandinavian call centre industry. Dolphin Contact Distribution System (CDS), an IP-based platform, incorporates HotVoice, an IP IVR ‘software-only’ platform that is based on Aculab's Prosody S host media processing software. Companies with an all IP infrastructure that need to connect to the PSTN or those who wish to leverage investment made in their existing TDM-based communications infrastructure can now deploy the ApplianX IP Gateway, which will allow incoming calls to be routed to HotVoice.

By design, the ApplianX IP Gateway helps enterprises reduce operational costs, extend the life of existing TDM-based equipment and take advantage of new IP-based services and endpoints by being a resilient, single purpose, ‘plug & play’ network appliance.

The ability to support 1, 2, 4 or 8 E1/T1 trunks makes the ApplianX IP Gateway a good fit for a range of deployment scenarios in both enterprise and service provider networks. The ApplianX IP Gateway supports over 85 protocols including Q.SIG and DPNSS and in addition a number of national variants. The completion of a five step wizard is all that is required to have the ApplianX IP Gateway ready to accept calls, this is just one example of how intuitive the web-based management interface is. Finally, resilience and robustness is assured through the replication of components that are deemed critical – dual Ethernet interfaces, dual hot swap power supplies and hot swap fans.
