Aculab is pleased to announce POSTcti as a strategic partner for the ApplianX range.
Aculab, a leading provider of enabling technology for the global communications market, today announced POSTcti as a strategic channel partner for the distribution of the ApplianX product range. POSTcti will be carrying the entire ApplianX portfolio, which includes the ApplianX IP Gateway, ApplianX DPNSS-to-Q.SIG Gateway and ApplianX Gateway for Microsoft OCS.
“The inclusion of the ApplianX product range in our portfolio will be key to helping us expand into new strategic markets,” explained Neil May, Managing Director at POSTcti. “We’re excited by the ApplianX strategy and technical capabilities of the portfolio. The initial demand has been very encouraging and supports POSTcti’s projections for the new market opportunities identified.”
“Aculab is very pleased to announce POSTcti as a key strategic channel partner for the UK,” said Faye McClenahan, Head of Strategic Marketing at Aculab. “Aculab has a long standing relationship with POSTcti. We fully appreciate the mix of skills and experience POSTcti can offer to customers – helping them achieve their communications objectives with the ApplianX range of ‘plug and play’ devices. Their knowledge on how to migrate enterprises from traditional and legacy PSTN networks to VoIP is a great asset.”
Based on leading enabling technology from Aculab, ApplianX products have been designed to reduce operational costs, be simple to use and have extensive resilience features – an excellent means to integrate with and extend the life of existing TDM-based equipment.
The ApplianX DPNSS-to-Q.SIG Gateway enables enterprises to extend the life of their DPNSS-based PBX, whilst taking advantage of new IP PBX solutions, which typically support Q.SIG. The gateway fully supports all supplementary services and is designed to be extremely simple to use. With each gateway converting up to 60 channels of DPNSS-to-Q.SIG it is a cost effective way to realise a DPNSS-to-VoIP migration strategy.
The ApplianX IP Gateway and ApplianX Gateway for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 support over 80 network and PBX inter-working protocols, including DPNSS and Q.SIG. High availability is achieved through the replication of components that are critical or prone to failure, such as dual IP traffic interfaces and dual hot swap power supplies. These are the only gateways to include all these parts as standard. In addition, the ApplianX Gateway for Microsoft includes the Mediation server function of the Office Communications Server, avoiding the need to be purchase an additional server to house the Mediation server software.
